What I liked
I am currently participating in my second engineering internship with Avery Dennison, and I have absolutely adored my time here. Both summers, I was able to work on projects that really mattered, first in divisional quality and second on-process.
Both years, my bosses were incredibly helpful. I was given a good amount of autonomy on my projects, and was able to really do things as I wanted to do them. My mentors both years were also incredible. Avery Dennison has a set mentorship program that it uses for its interns that matches us up with someone currently towards the beginning of their career. My manager in my first summer became my manager the second summer, which has been really great.
When you are located in in Cleveland area, there are tons of events to participate in for networking and general bonding. The first week of the internship is intern training week, and if you are not located in the area, they pay for your hotel for the week. You get a chance to network with other interns as well as people in the business.
