Summer 2026 Event Planning Intern
OVERVIEW
Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program’s goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.
This position works closely with the Executive Assistant, Corporate Meeting Planners, and the Senior Management Team. This position will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks which are to be done in an organized and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Event Planning Intern works closely with the Executive Assistant, Corporate Meeting Planners, and the Senior Management team. Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks which are to be done in an organized and efficient manner.
• Assists Executive Assistant and CEO with a variety of duties
• Assists Corporate Meeting Planners in the sourcing, planning, and onsite logistics of corporate meetings and events
• Use effective cost analysis to stay within budgets to control company spend
• Attends daily Administrative huddles to stay up to date
• Answer telephone and takes message, transfers to voice mail or provides callers with appropriate information
• Provide staff and outside customers with travel arrangements
• May assist with other related clerical duties to include photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
• Develops coordinates itinerary for recruiting meetings
• Coordinates materials, space, reservations and lunches for training meetings

- Pursuing a 2-year or 4-year college degree in Event Planning, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or another related field.
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interest in event planning and administrative duties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work collectively with all partners at all levels
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Good problem solving skills
- Professional in appearance and behaviors
