I loved getting hands-on experience with the wildlife, as well as being able to see a variety of different species during my time as an intern.
What I wish was different
I wish that it was paid, although I can't really complain because it was a lot of fun
Advice
Be prepared to get your hands dirty and smell a lot of unpleasant scents. Working with animals always involves a lot of poop! It is so worth it, but some people might not be able to handle the dirtier aspects of the job.
