I enjoyed being surrounded by health science enthusiasts and getting clinical exposure.
What I wish was different
I wish that the program was better organized as speakers tended to be late and paychecks were not always on time.
Advice
You need to be proactive. In the research world, everyone is so engrossed in their own work. A good mentor will be willing to help you out, but you need to tell them that you need help.

What I liked
Getting hands-on lab experience in a biomedical engineering lab, the opportunity to contribute to posters and published papers, and mentoring from successful people in my field of interest were the best parts of this experience.
