Benefits Intern

May 2017 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

The job teaches you an overwhelming amount of information regarding benefits (health insurance, life insurance, disability, retirement benefits, etc.) and the people you work with are all wonderful and willing to help you. They also give you the opportunity to cross train in other functions of the department, so you experience what other people do for their jobs.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been aware of the internship earlier in the year.

Advice

Training is a lot of information in a short period of time, but you will get through it and even if it seems like you could never remember any of it, you'd be surprised with how easily you do remember it when you need to.
