What I liked

Amazing team, everyone was super friendly and willing to help. It felt like a big family almost that was always looking out for each other. Never any boring parts, there was always something to be involved in or new opportunities to learn.

What I wish was different

More guidance through the experience. There was a lot going on internally with lots of big projects with upcoming due dates when I was interning. This meant a lot of opportunities to be included in stuff but not so much time for someone to sit with me to teach me the ins and outs of everything. So, although there were a lot of learning opportunities there weren't the specific ones I might've wanted.

Advice

Do not be afraid to ask for more work or to be included in more meetings/projects. I think one of the biggest things is being involved and making yourself involved rather than waiting to be included in stuff. Also, spending more time with team members in order to better understand their work background and if you can sit in while they're working to try and learn from their expereinces.

I wish I would have gone into it with more confidence! I love my job now.

Advice

It’s worth applying to be a nursing assistant or tech while in nursing school. The experience I’ve gained will definitely make me a better nurse in the future.

What I liked

I like that the location has been very close to both Kent State University and my hometown, Broadview Heights. I also like working with other students and being able to relate to their experiences and learn from my peers.
