How nice and collaborative everyone was. They were also all honest about their career paths and their recommendation on what I should do post-grad.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to network more with other people on-site. It was difficult because everyone had their own projects and tasks to complete.
Advice
Ask for help! It was honestly expected that I knew less than I did. If there was any confusion with projects or questions about what I was doing, reaching out to my mentor was my best option.

Roche Academy Intern
May 2022 • Indianapolis, IN
What I liked
There were many networking opportunities, and I learned a great amount about the company, the atmosphere, and the employees.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a couple more field engineer shadowing opportunities. I was able to go into the field twice near the end of the internship, but being able to have that experience earlier on or more frequently in the internship would have been greatly beneficial.
Advice
Keep an open mind! Even if it feels like the project or tasks you are working on aren't making a difference, they are. Everything you do is important to the company or to customers.

Inside Sales Intern
May - July 2019 • Indianapolis, IN
What I liked
Good pay and paid housing, supportive manager and meaningful projects, opportunity to be considered for full-time roles, large company with name recognition, organized intern program with extracurricular activities and committees.
What I wish was different
Not enough opportunity to network with other 80 interns, nepotism and arrogance from other interns, only 3 interns got full-time offers, apartment commute was sometimes 30 minutes.
Advice
ISU students shouldn't be intimidated about students form "big name" schools! Students from different universities are much more similar than you realize.
