The willingness of the team to provide me with assistance was amazing. Everyone was so patient and offered me support, especially as this was my first experience in corporate culture. I am excited to go to the office every day to not only improve myself, but also to enjoy my internship with the people I work with and the skills I develop.
What I wish was different
I wish I applied to this internship a little later in my career so I could graduate and apply to be a full-time staff member sooner~ and maybe brush up on my foosball skills.
Advice
Do not be afraid to ask questions and do not be afraid to connect with the people around you. Rea & Associates has a unique work environment that actively wants to help you build your skills and reward you for your effort and hard work.

Tax and Audit Intern
January - April 2022 • Amherst, OH
What I liked
I like how welcoming everyone in the firm is. Everyone is willing to help you be successful and always has time to answer any questions.
What I wish was different
Honestly, I can't think of anything that I wish was different. My experience so far has been really great and I am learning so much more than I thought I would!
Advice
Take plenty of notes and don't be afraid to ask questions. Taking notes helps a lot and also helps make sure you aren't asking the same question twice. Also, ask any questions you may have instead of letting them go unanswered!

Tax Intern
June - August 2021 • Wooster, OH
What I liked
The managers made me feel comfortable and reassured me when I asked questions. They work hard but know how to have fun and prioritize relationships with each other and were diligent in helping me learn. Highly recommend it!!!
What I wish was different
During summer there isn't a whole lot for tax interns to do but that's not their fault and I still had fun.
Advice
Ask questions, it's okay to look stupid because you will be!! Also take notes on everything to go back to so you don't have to ask the same questions more than once.

SALT Intern
May - August 2019 • Independence, OH
What I liked
My experience at Rea provided me with a proverbial foot in the door to the world of taxability, consulting, compliance, and to surround myself with current and future Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
What I wish was different
I would do it all over again - nothing too much.
Advice
Writing down what you learn helps. Bring a notebook when you ask questions and when you are receiving directions so that you remember what to do along with the correct answers.
