Great work environment and great coworkers. Got to work on updating templates for renewals/quoting. Was a great opportunity to learn excel to a high level. Worked with excel sheets and created/updated macros.
What I wish was different
Worked during a slower period, which was great while learning but ended up not giving a full idea of the workload of an underwriter.
Advice
This internship is definitely what you make of it. It's a great chance to demonstrate what you know and further your understanding. You get more out of the experience if you put more effort into it.

What I liked
I was given the opportunity to work on projects myself which allowed me to learn on the job and feel accomplished. While having responsibility, I was always supported and given help if I asked for it.
What I wish was different
I would have liked to have other interns in the office to share the summer intern experience with.
Advice
You don’t have to know everything going into the job. You just need to be willing and eager to learn! The skills and necessary knowledge will grow.
