Accounting Intern

What I liked

The people were amazing and I got to see several different aspects of Accounting at Oxy. I was looked at as a valuable part of the team for the summer and I never ever did mundane intern jobs.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have seen more of the chemical plants or distribution centers to understand our business processes better.

Advice

Ask lots of questions and always say yes to new opportunities and learning.

What I liked

I had an incredible time at Oxy this past summer and highly recommend them. They have a wonderful company culture and it was truly a pleasure to work for them. While my project was difficult, it wasn't so much so that I was unable to complete it, and found that it was the perfect amount of challenging that pushed me and helped me grow as an individual and chemical engineer.

What I wish was different

I wish the summer had been longer! There was so much more I could have done with my project that I wasn't able to explore due to time constraints.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask dumb questions! You will thank yourself in the future.
