What I liked

The consultants and workers at McGohan Brabender were incredibly helpful with the interns. They gave us meaningful work and offered help if we were stuck on a project. We were extremely active everyday.

What I wish was different

We had to work the front desk once a week, which was not my favorite, but I still think it was a valuable experience.

Advice

Always put yourself out there. If there is something you may be interested outside of the segment you are working in, do not be afraid to ask to shadow or learn from someone for a day. I asked someone in the marketing segment to get lunch and discuss what they do day to day.

It is definitely a great internship experience. Everyone in the company made me feel welcome. They went above and beyond to help me out anytime I found myself needing it. With the company culture and all that I learned, I can’t imagine having my first internship at another company.

What I liked

Very nice people and great company. I was given real work to do and not babysat the whole time. There was extensive training, but I still had to use my problem solving skills.

What I wish was different

The location was not ideal for what I had going on in my life. I needed to be in Cincinnati. The pay was good for an internship, but not enough full time for me to justify making the commute every day.

Advice

Do not hesitate to work for this company. They treat their employees well, the upper level management and even CEO would say hi to me in the halls and ask how I liked everything and knew who I was. The data team is introverted for the most part, but everyone I had contact with treated me fairly and was helpful.
