What I liked

The people and work culture is amazing. Fresh Mark puts their employees first and it shows. The company takes pride in who they are and the products they produce. They are all in to help the younger generation and train them to be leaders.

Advice

I would tell the next intern to be as hands on as they will let you and to soak all the information in like a sponge. People who have been in the business for years, know a lot more than we do about the industry. With that being said, don’t be afraid to share what you know from school because it is very valuable information and it is often times stuff that your boss’ might not know. Don’t be afraid to speak up and share what you know, but also be willing to be quiet and listen to people more experienced.

Marketing and Events Intern

What I liked

I loved how much I got to travel with this internship. In one summer I went as far west as Chicago and as far east as Boston which was a completely new experience for me. The team was great and there was a lot I was able to take away from the experience into my professional career.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish was different was the work schedule. As with any event position, I worked a lot of weekends.

Advice

Don't be afraid to talk to people. I got an interview for this position by having a brief, two-minute conversation at a career fair that I didn't think anything of.
