Internal Sales Intern

What I liked

The people I worked with and the others that I interned with were all great people who were always willing to help and happy to talk with you. The program offered many chances to showcase abilities and knowledge, as well as gain more knowledge and skills and build a personal/professional network. I feel like I learned a lot about the finance industry and improved myself over the few months that I was there.

What I wish was different

Nothing.

Advice

Make an effort to talk with as many people as possible. Talk with people in different departments, shadow as many people as possible so you can learn more about the industry and company and, most importantly, what interests you as a possible career path. Don't just show up and go through the motions and only focus on the projects that you are given.

Internal Audit Intern

What I liked

I got to work on various different audits during my time there. There were also a lot of programs for all the interns ranging from interview prep to lunch and learns.

What I wish was different

There was a decent amount of down time during the last couple weeks.

Advice

Federated was a great place to work, I highly advise taking full advantage of all the internship events.

What I wish was different

I do wish the circumstances were different because when I started my entire division went through a reorganization. Due to this, everyone was learning a new position and it was hard for me to find a real task to do.
