Supplier quality engineering co-op

What I liked

I loved the experience I got the opportunity and amazing privilege to have being able to travel to different suppliers and work with great supportive co-workers and being able to feel like a big Emerson family and community. I really felt at home!

What I wish was different

I wish that I didn’t have to drive everyday from Dayton to Sidney but with a carpool that I set up later it was much better.

Electrical Design Engineer Co-op

May 2017 • Shakopee, MN

What I liked

I think a unique aspect to this program is the opportunity to work in different roles within the company. It is very helpful when deciding what you want to do when you graduate to have experience in different aspects of engineering.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more part time or remotely based opportunities for co-ops to continue working during the school year.

Advice

I would strongly encourage co-ops to reach out to as many people in the company that they can. Everyone is willing to share their own experiences and work at Emerson, and this will provide an avenue to learn about the company as a whole
