I worked at Camp Cooper this summer. This is a summer camp for foster, homeless, and at risk youth. The advice that I would give is to be consistent in people’s lives, it matters.

What I liked
The variety of tasks and ability to rise up and take on different roles. All you have to do is show interest and initiative. I also really like interacting with the public and seeing cool things go on in different sectors. We are a small city and there is a lot of cross interaction that makes it fun and interesting.
What I wish was different
The desk was somewhat uncomfortable.
Advice
Ask questions and don't assume anything. Understrand your learning style, get organized, and be a sponge for information.
