What I liked

I had a great experience working at Boswell Energy Center. I got involved in a wide range of projects, from designing tests to determining the feasibility of retrofits to the plant. I worked with plant and fleet engineers, safety officers, operators, maintenance coordinators, mechanics, technicians, etc. I found all these experiences to be quite valuable.

What I wish was different

When serious maintenance events occur it is difficult to get time and resources to complete your tasks as more critical tasks and work is being done. This cannot be easily avoided due to the setting, so you just be prepared, and flexible. It would be advisable to take advantage of the opportunity to learn about the work being done.

Advice

There is a lot to learn and it is easy to get lost in all there is to learn. However, one of the most important things is to get out in the plant and meet and work with everyone in the plant.
