As a Patient Care Coordinator & Administrative Assistant, you will ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently by directly assisting the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of Client Relations in executing the day-to-day activities of running a medical practice, including patient care coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing phone calls, texts, and emails from existing and potential members
- Assisting the Director of Client Relations to onboard new members:
- Requesting and processing medical records
- Sending official correspondence
- Data entry into the Electronic Medical Record
- Patient care coordination for patients of the Chief Medical Officer:
- Scheduling routine and on-demand house calls
- Scheduling external appointments with specialists and advanced imaging
- Care coordination with subcontractors (i.e., phlebotomists, lactation consultants)
- Prefilling forms and writing letters for member requests
- Confirming insurance eligibility for third-party collaborators
- Assisting in all activities related to the annual cycle of member retention
- Scheduling and calendar management for the CMO and Director of Client Relations
Candidates should be bilingual (English/Spanish). Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively are essential for this position.
The ideal candidate recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or hospitality and has experience in customer service and office administration. Experience in the healthcare industry is not necessary, although it would be helpful.
