
Design Intern – Social & Digital Marketing
Overview
Z Gallerie is seeking a highly creative and driven Design Intern to support our Creative Marketing team. This hands-on internship is ideal for a recent graduate or emerging talent looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, design-forward retail environment. The intern will contribute to the creation of social media content, direct mail marketing, and digital campaigns, playing a key role in how our brand shows up across platforms.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in content design, campaign ideation, and brand storytelling, while also learning how to use generative AI and creative automation tools in real-world marketing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Development & Content Design
• Assist in designing visual content for social media platforms, direct mail, and digital ads
• Support the development of asset templates and branded content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and email
• Help adapt seasonal campaign creative for platform-specific formats and best practices
AI-Assisted Ideation & Production
• Explore and experiment with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, Kling AI) to streamline content creation and enhance productivity
• Repurpose and personalize assets using AI to test scalable content variations
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive creative tasks (e.g., resizing, copywriting drafts)
Marketing Strategy Support
• Conduct competitor research to gather inspiration and identify emerging trends in home décor and retail marketing
• Monitor performance of social and digital content to provide design and messaging recommendations based on engagement data
• Help maintain asset libraries and assist with documentation for creative workflows
Qualifications
• Recently completed or pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
• Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Facebook) and digital content trends
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Canva experience a plus
• Interest or experience with AI tools used for marketing and design
• Basic understanding of branding principles and content strategy
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Creative thinker with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with social media analytics and performance metrics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
