Cybersecurity & Computer Programming Instructor

(New Program for the 2025-2026 School Year)

 

Starting Date: July 1, 2025 (25-26 school  year)

Salary: Per the Board of Education approved salary pay scale

Reports to: Nate Gaubatz CTE Supervisor

Work Week/Year: As per board-adopted calendar

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to receive a two-year license from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce. Recommendation with a minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience, 3 of those years being the most recent.
  • BCI and FBI criminal records results less than one-year old must be submitted prior to initial employment and as required thereafter
  • Preference given to those with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and IT/Cybersecurity Certifications.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ohio’s Learning Standards in the Cybersecurity Pathway (Programming, Information Technology, Network Management, Cybersecurity, and Cybersecurity Defense and Reinforcement)
  • Highly organized and committed to planning engaging and wide-ranging instructional experiences
  • Focused on long-term professional growth with intentional and continuous refinement of lessons aimed at fostering higher-order thinking
  • Committed to ensuring ongoing collaborative and constructive communication with parents and the related professional community, especially with regard to cultivating an active Advisory Committee and high levels of participation in the program's Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO)
  • Ability to work independently seeking the advice and feedback when needed
  • Demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality in all matters related to student and staff information
