A Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) Operator plays a crucial role in supporting law enforcement by utilizing technology, data analysis, and intelligence gathering to enhance crime prevention, investigations, and emergency response efforts. Students will be involved in all aspects of public safety in the RTCC providing opportunities for on-the- job training, certifications, and unique application of law enforcement. The RTCC intern will be operating within highly structured, technology-driven, and fast-paced environment designed to support law enforcement operations. Analysts operate in a secure, high-tech command center equipped with advanced surveillance, state of the art data analytics, and communication tools to provide real-time intelligence for crime prevention and response.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze real-time crime data
- Provide intelligence to officers in the field
- Exposure to ALL aspects of public safety
- Investigations experience
Qualifications:
- Have a Letter of Recommendation from the program you are enrolled in
- Good academic standing and the academic equivaled of a JUNIOR by the start of internship
- No felonies, domestic violence, arrests (for last six months), and a limited criminal history
- Must have valid state issued ID
- Must pass pre-employment hiring process (drug screen, polygraph, and psychological battery)
