Under the direction of the Prison Industries Superintendent, I (Agriculture), this position is responsible for instructing and supervising Incarcerated Workers in the operation of the Milk Processing Plant and the maintenance/operation of equipment and enforcing State, Departmental, and CALPIA rules, regulations, and requirements within a correctional institution.
The CALPIA Dairy program is designed to meet California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institutional needs statewide. You will train and mentor incarcerated individuals who will gain knowledge and skills needed to meet the highest possible standards for Dairy and increase their chances for employment opportunities upon release.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Experience operating and knowledge of Milk Processing Plant/Processing Equipment and Procedures.
- Experience with production scheduling.
- Experience with Inventory Management, knowledge of bill of lading, requisition of materials and supplies.
- Logistics experience (shipping and receiving raw and finished goods).
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems.
- Prior State Service.
- Experience supervising, leading, directing, and/or giving instruction as well as training and evaluating staff performance at the level of an Industrial Supervisor or equivalent.
