
Culinary Assistant & Office Coordinator Intern
Position Summary:
Miccosukee Casino & Resort is seeking a Culinary Assistant & Office Coordinator Intern to provide essential administrative and organizational support to our culinary team. This internship is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and interested in the operational and behind-the-scenes aspects of the culinary and event production industry.
While this is not a food preparation role, the intern will play a critical part in ensuring that culinary schedules, documentation, inventory tracking, and communications run smoothly. This is a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience supporting culinary and event operations in a fast-paced resort environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Administrative Support:
- Maintain kitchen production schedules, prep lists, and culinary team calendars.
- Track inventory records, order forms, and vendor communications.
- Assist in compiling event menus, production timelines, and dietary requirement lists.
- Help manage compliance documentation, including health and safety logs.
- Coordinate logistics for tastings, events, and client meetings (non-cooking role).
Office Coordination Duties:
- Manage office supplies and kitchen administration materials (labels, folders, signage).
- Support internal communications across culinary, event, and operations teams.
- Assist with onboarding documentation and scheduling for new culinary team members or interns.
- Organize digital files, receipts, reports, and general administrative records.
- Assist with meeting preparation, note-taking, and follow-up communications
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in culinary operations, hospitality, or event coordination.
- Undergraduate student or higher.
- Validated by a college/university.
- Fluent English speaking and written skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Available to work a minimum of 6 months, open to extension preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with administrative tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Previous administrative, office coordination, or hospitality experience is a plus.
- Adhere to all Miccosukee Casino & Resort policies and procedures.
