Marketing Lead

Thirdplace is a soon-to-launch local marketplace that connects event organizers with unique local venues — helping communities create unforgettable gatherings. We’re starting in Brooklyn (Greenpoint!) with plans to expand.


We’re currently pre-funding — which means you’ll join as part of the founding team, work for equity at first, and move into a paid role once we raise funding (which is already underway).

Your Role: Marketing Lead

Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy

Identify and reach out to potential venue partners and event organizers

Coordinate early promotions, partnerships, and collaborations

Craft email campaigns, newsletters, blog posts, and outreach materials

Analyze what’s working (and what’s not) using basic analytics alongside our social media manager

Conduct Surveys of active and prospective users

Work closely with the Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure brand alignment across channels

 

Who You Are

A strategic thinker who loves marketing experiments

Interested in startup growth, brand building, and community engagement

Strong communicator — comfortable writing outreach emails, copy, or campaign ideas

Excited about working on a lean team where you’ll wear multiple hats

Curious about how to turn an early-stage product into a movement

Not afraid to pitch ideas, test them, and learn from the results
