Marketing Intern

What is Plasticrete?

Plasticrete is a Nashville based startup recycling plastic into a building material. In our employees, we're looking for experimentation, initiative, and creativity. If you're looking to build something real and meaningful from the ground up (as well as the sound of your ideas actually being used) this internship is for you.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Intern to take the lead on developing and executing a bootstrapped marketing campaign that encourages community members to sign up for our curbside recycling program. The only thing that you're required to use is our branding materials. Every other decision to make is up to your discretion.

This is a hands-on, strategic, and creative role, perfect for someone chasing the startup lifestyle and wanting to make a measurable impact from day one.

Responsibilities

Plan & Launch: Create and execute a marketing plan to increase recycling program sign-ups (social, digital, word-of-mouth, events, etc.).

Track & Adapt: Monitor campaign performance and make adjustments based on real-time results.

Report & Recommend: Create a monthly performance report with ideas to increase sign-ups the following month.

Analyze & Prioritize: Identify which strategies are most effective and recommend where to focus future efforts.

Final Report: Draft a detailed end-of-internship report that consolidates what worked, what didn’t, and how future marketing efforts can build on your work.

What's in it for you?

Commission: Earn 10% Commission on every new sign up that current week. When your choices pay off, we think you should be compensated for it.

Creative Freedom: We want your fresh ideas, and we’ll actually use them.

Startup Experience: Work closely with the founding team and see how a company grows from the ground up.

Impact: Your work will directly affect sign-ups, growth, and community engagement.

Resume Builder: Carry that fact that you ran a bootstrapped marketing operation from start to finish (with we're sure a measurable success) to any recruiter and watch their jaw drop.

Portfolio Material: Take ownership of a real-world marketing campaign you can proudly showcase.

Mentorship & Feedback: Get guidance and feedback directly from entrepreneurs, and indirectly from your plan's efficacy.
