Position Overview
Great Camp Sagamore’s Gift Shop is the first place many visitors see when they visit Great Camp Sagamore, and the Assistant Store Manager is often the first person a visitor meets. Guests come to the Gift Shop to check in for guided tours, hikes, and paddles and then return and shop after the tour. Overnight guests at Great Camp Sagamore visit throughout the day to purchase snacks, souvenirs, and books. Often, travelers also stop in to see what Great Camp Sagamore is all about.
Great Camp Sagamore seeks a personable, responsible Assistant Store Manager to support our vision for the Gift Shop by ordering merchandise, performing daily retail procedures, and assisting visitors with check-in and questions. As a frequent “first face of Sagamore”, this individual is integral not only to the retail success of the shop but to ensuring that visitors are well-informed and made to feel welcome. Therefore, this position is appropriate for a candidate with previous customer service and retail management experience, a welcoming demeanor, and a friendly personality. The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Operations Manager and also coordinates with the Guest Services Agent and Finance & Office Manager. This position runs from late May through late October.
