Internship Description:
The Events and Special Projects Intern will assist the Senior Leadership team in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events and organizational initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in event management, project coordination, marketing support, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about promoting BBB’s mission through high-quality events and community initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of BBB-sponsored events, webinars, and workshops.
- Assist with event logistics, including scheduling, vendor coordination, communications, registration management, and on-site support.
- Assist in outreach to business partners, community members, and sponsors.
- Support the coordination and execution of special projects aligned with BBB’s mission and strategic goals.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure event and project success.
- Provide administrative support including research, data entry, and materials preparation as needed.
- Represent BBB with professionalism in all interactions, promoting a positive and ethical image.
Qualifications:
- Current students pursuing a degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
- Previous event planning, marketing, or administrative experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Passion for BBB’s mission and commitment to promoting marketplace trust.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
