Internship Opportunity: Brand and Community Engagement Intern
Mr. Handyman of South Salt Lake, Utah, and Wasatch Counties

Location: Pleasant Grove, UT (hybrid work from home and occasionally in office)
Hours: 10–20 hours/week (flexible schedule around classes)
Pay: $15–$18/hour (based on experience)
Duration: Summer 2025 or Fall Semester (option to extend)

We’re looking for a positive, creative, and proactive intern to help grow our local Mr. Handyman franchise through brand development, social media, and community outreach. If you're the kind of person who brings energy, curiosity, and a “how can I help?” attitude, you’ll thrive here.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in marketing, local advertising, and small business operations — and your ideas will help shape how our brand shows up in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Capture and edit photos/videos of job sites and projects (with team guidance)
  • Design simple flyers, signs, and branded content using Canva or Adobe
  • Coordinate local sponsorships, school and community outreach
  • Support customer review campaigns and occasional email marketing
  • Assist with planning and staffing local events (e.g., booths, sponsorship visibility)
  • Provide general support in the office or with marketing logistics as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • A current student (or recent grad) in marketing, communications, PR, business, or similar
  • Friendly, upbeat, and professional, a brand ambassador we’re proud to send anywhere
  • Creative and comfortable with social media tools (Instagram, Canva, Reels, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
  • Bonus: Skills in video editing, SEO, photography, or community involvement

Internship Perks:

  • Flexible schedule that works with your classes
  • Build a strong portfolio with visible, real-world results
  • Learn about entrepreneurship, marketing, and business strategy from the inside
  • Great resume booster + letter of recommendation available upon successful completion
  • School credit support available
  • Potential for the role to grow into a longer-term position
