Location: Memphis, TN (Remote + On-site Content Visits)

Compensation: $18/hr (on-site) + 15% sales commission

About the Role

Memphis Drone Washing is looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Social Media Intern to help shape and share our story. We’re disrupting the pressure washing industry with heavy-lift drones that safely clean buildings, rooftops, and water towers—no ladders, no scaffolding, no problem.

This is a flexible, semi-paid internship where you'll help build and execute our marketing strategy from the ground (and sky) up. It’s perfect for students interested in digital marketing, content creation, sales, or drone tech—and who want to gain real-world startup experience.

Location & Time Commitment

Remote-first, with travel covered for occasional content capture on-site.

Minimum 10 hours/week, with flexible scheduling.

On-site work ranges from 0–8 hours/week.

Start/end dates are flexible based on your academic calendar.

What You’ll Do

• Create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Film and edit photos/videos of our drone in action at job sites
• Run digital ad campaigns (Google, Meta, etc.)
• Assist with website content and SEO strategy
• Research and contact potential clients
• Track leads and earn commission for closed deals
• Contribute creative ideas for brand growth
• Option to attend events or demos with the owner

Compensation & Benefits

$18/hour for on-site work (content capture or client engagement)

15% commission for every lead you bring that converts to a sale

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work directly with Patrick Johnson, founder of Memphis Drone Washing. Patrick is a licensed air traffic controller, aviation safety professional, and drone entrepreneur with over 25 years in the industry. The company has completed work for regional utilities like NorthCentral Electric and cleaned multiple historic Mormon churches across the U.S. You’ll have a front-row seat to the operations of a fast-growing drone startup.
