Learning Management System and Course Coordinator

Children’s Funding Project is a nonprofit social impact organization that helps communities, states, and Native nations expand equitable opportunities for children and youth through strategic public financing. About the Position: Children's Funding Project is seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting individual to join our team as a half-time (20 hrs/week) learning management system (LMS) and course coordinator. This role will collaborate with team leaders and staff to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of e-learning courses and their administration on the organizational LMS. These efforts will help strengthen Children's Funding Project’s capacity-building approach in communities across the country. This part-time, nonexempt position reports to the senior manager of cost modeling. Occasional travel is required.

 

The LMS and course coordinator will be responsible for the following:

 

Learning Experience Design (LXD)
●    Support the design and development of interactive, user-centered online learning courses using Articulate authoring tools. Incorporate interactive features, multimedia content, and downloadable resources.
●    Support the adaptation of existing courses to meet the needs of specific content areas and audiences across the cradle-to-career continuum.
●    Apply accessibility standards and adult learning principles to the design of all learning materials to ensure they are inclusive, engaging, and effective.
●    Revise and update course materials based on user feedback, and monitor learner engagement, completion rates, and technical issues to inform ongoing improvements.

 

LMS Operations and Support
●    Build and maintain structured learning paths within the 360Learning LMS.
●    Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of the LMS to ensure a smooth learner experience.
●    Request and coordinate technical support from 360Learning as needed.
●    Identify, document, and report bugs or system issues to the LMS support team.
●    Stay up to date on best practices in e-learning and LMS administration, and collaborate with team leaders to integrate these practices into Children's Funding Project’s online learning ecosystem.

 

Project Coordination and Cross-Team Collaboration
●    Collaborate with team leads and the senior manager of products to manage timelines, document processes, and ensure timely delivery of new e-learning courses and course updates.
●    Provide ongoing technical assistance to external learners using the 360Learning LMS and internal staff working with both Articulate and the LMS.
●    Provide demonstrations and training for internal teams, as well as external clients, partners, and interest-holders, to promote course engagement and build proficiency with the LMS.


Communications and Web Integration Support
●    Coordinate closely with the director of communications and web designers to ensure that course content aligns with Children's Funding Project’s external messaging, visual branding, and web presentation standards.
●    Prepare and manage web-ready files (e.g., SCORM packages, Articulate web exports), ensuring compatibility with web design workflows and Children’s Funding Project’s website platforms.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
●    Experience supporting instructional design and digital curriculum development, including the creation of professional development courses for online and blended learning environments.
●    Proficiency with Articulate course authoring tools to assist in designing interactive learning modules.
●    Experience managing and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably 360Learning.
●    Working knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508) and ability to apply them in the development of e-learning courses.
●    Familiarity with universal design principles to support diverse adult learners.
●    Strong coordination, project tracking, and time management skills.
●    Effective oral and written communication skills.
●    Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused.
●    Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and across cross-functional teams.
●    Commitment to equity and social justice for all children and youth.

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
●    Experience translating complex concepts into accessible and engaging learning materials.
●    Knowledge of and/or experience with services for children and youth at the local, state, and/or federal level.
●    Familiarity with public financing systems that support children and youth.

 

LOCATION: Remote with ability to travel. Work may be performed from anywhere in the United States. 

 

COMPENSATION: This 20 hour per week position falls into the Senior Associate level of our compensation structure. Base compensation will be $33.00/hour. Children’s Funding Project also offers a great (and growing!) team and a working environment that emphasizes professional development and growth. Note that this part-time position does not include any health, dental, vision or other ancillary benefits. The position may transition to a full-time, benefits-eligible role in 2026 depending on funding.
