Business Analyst Intern, Route Optimization

Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Business Analyst Intern who will  support the Route Optimization Sales team to ensure the success of all customers on Geotab’s Optimization platform. What you'll do:

As a Business Analyst Intern your key area of responsibility will be building consultative relationships with the customer the Business Solutions Specialist will use in-depth product knowledge and ensure that products and services consistently meet client needs. You will need to work closely in a  cross-functional environment, working alongside and connecting Sales, Support, Solutions Engineering and Product development enabling you to experience many aspects of an industry leading IoT and big data company from within. The position will also be required to focus on learning about Geotab’s customer’s problems and use cases.  This learning will inform our product roadmap and help us de-risk future research and development efforts.

 

The opportunity:

  • 8 - 12 month work-term beginning September 2025.
  • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.
  • 1 position reporting to either the Oakville, ON, Canada office or the Atlanta, GA, United States office.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Promote and drive platform adoption by collaborating with customers on the creation of measurable goals aligned with their objectives.
  • Be proficient in all applications within the Optimization platform - Both UI and APIs.
  • Onboard and train Optimization customers and partners.
  • Update and maintain all customer facing documentation (User Guide and API Guide).
  • Create any new training materials as needed (tutorials, videos, etc).
  • Directly work with product management to ensure that customer needs and use cases are considered when creating the product roadmap.
  • Work with the support team to ensure any customer issues are resolved.
  • Work with product, BD, and marketing to support the creation of case studies and blog posts that feature our customers and partners.
  • Facilitate customer feedback and follow-up on customer NPS, CSAT and survey responses.
  • Navigate churn indicators and leverage customer sentiment results to engage additional resources.

 

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or related positions working directly with business customers is an asset.
  • Experience leveraging customer success tools (i.e., Salesforce) an asset.
  • Experience working within or alongside a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
  • Experience with APIs, reporting and/or business analysis.
  • Experience using SQL.
  • Experience using Javascript, Python, highly valued.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, ReDash, Superset, and/or other BI tools
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must stay relevant to technology and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides.)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
