Account Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to drive revenue growth across our suite of advertising and promotional products. The ideal candidate will be a proactive sales professional with the ability to build strong client relationships and exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while also managing and growing existing client accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of digital advertising, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for helping local businesses succeed. 

The Account Executive will work to sell three main products:

  • Ads on a network of digital billboards located inside high-traffic areas
  • Ads on QCity Metro’s event calendar
  • Job openings on QCity Metro’s job board

Other sales opportunities may be added.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads through various methods including cold outreach (calling and in-person), networking and referrals
  • Present compelling and customized proposals showcasing the value and benefits of QCity Metro’s products.
  • Conduct a thorough needs assessment with potential clients to understand their marketing goals and potential objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the features, advantages and pricing of our product offerings.
  • Work with QCity Metro’s client relations manager to ensure ads run smoothly during the campaign.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Provide ongoing account management, including regular check-ins, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Hit daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, and maintain accurate records of sales activities.
  • Represent QCity Metro professionally at industry events and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, marketing, advertising or related field; OR equivalent sales experience
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred, but also open to recent college graduates.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Self motivated, goal oriented and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Lives in Charlotte, and is able to drive a personal vehicle to meet with clients (mileage reimbursement will be provided).

Pay

  • This position includes a base salary of $40,000/year, plus commission. First-year compensation would total $65,000 minimum if sales goals are met.
