E Banking Processing Specialist (EBANK013038)

This E Banking Processing Specialist processes ACH disputes and incoming/outgoing ACH Files from Fed. This position processes daily ACH same-day transactions, returns, chargebacks, IATs, authorization requests, and exception items on a scheduled basis. The E Banking Processing Specialist provides customer service to bank employees as it relates to ACH services for returns and authorization requests. This role assists with wire processing, performing second callbacks and exceptions, and ensuring prompt resolutions to customer complaints and issues (both internal and external).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process ACH disputes. This duty is performed daily, about 35% of the time.
2. Processes incoming, outgoing, ACH files including same day ACH transactions on strict time schedule. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
3. Processes ACH Returns, Chargebacks, IATs, Authorization Requests and Exception Items. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
4. Provides customer service to bank employees for ACH services. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
5. Provides customer service for ACH Returns and Authorization Requests. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
6. Assists with Fraud detection and research. This duty is performed weekly, about 25% of the time.
7. Ensures prompt resolution of customer complaints and issues (both internal and external). This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
8. Ensures prompt completion of callbacks. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
9. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed annually.
10. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few known variables in situations of a routine nature.
