About Learn To Be
Learn To Be is a national nonprofit that provides free, 1-on-1, online tutoring to underserved K–12 students. Since 2019, we’ve grown 50x and now support over 10,000 tutors and students each year. We've delivered over 300,000 hours of free tutoring and we’re just getting started.
We believe storytelling, advocacy, and community energy are how we will grow.
What This Role Is
We’re looking for a super-social, video-first content creator to help share the mission and impact of Learn To Be across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and beyond.
Your job is to promote what we do and why it matters. That means showing the world that 40% of 9-year-olds in the U.S. can’t read or do basic math. And that Learn To Be is one of the few orgs actually doing something about it.
You're not just editing reels and engaging with other accounts on social media in your room. You might:
- Show up on camera to tell stories about our students, tutors, and the urgent need for free academic support
- Create engaging content using our impact stats, testimonials, and policy facts
- Film low-lift, high-energy content about why learning matters and how people can help
- Interview strangers on the street about their education experiences or run times tables trivia for prizes
- Experiment with short-form campaigns that drive donations and volunteers
TLDR: You'll be an evangelist for Learn To Be, making content that’s fun, honest, and mission-driven.
You Might Be a Fit If...
- You’re super active on social media and love making content
- You’ve grown your own brand or another brand (5K+ organic followers OR videos with 20k+ views)
- You’re comfortable filming, editing, and publishing content on your own (using tools like Capcut, Final Cut, Descript, etc)
- You’re extroverted and comfortable going up to strangers with a mic
- You’re curious and care about education, advocacy, or the science of learning
- You have a strong sense of aesthetic and brand
- You can commit to 20 hours/week, consistently
Bonus If You...
- Have made educational or advocacy content
- Are part of creator communities or campus orgs
- Like turning research or stats into short-form explainers
Why This Role Is Cool
- High autonomy — you’ll own the vibe, voice, and creative direction
- You’ll be the face of something that actually matters. We’ve been featured on the Kelly Clarkson show and we partner with a Congresswoman in NYC
- You'll grow your personal brand while helping students who need it most
- It’s flexible and remote — work from campus, home, or wherever

Send us:
- A quick note about why this role excites you
