Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented PR & Social Media Intern to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in fashion, costuming, and storytelling, and feels a deep connection to our brand ethos. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape a visual identity from the ground up and to collaborate with high-level artists and clients in building a narrative that positions our garments as wearable art.
Working closely with our Content Coordinator, the intern will play an essential role in crafting and scheduling content that not only promotes the brand but also reflects its artistic vision. The ideal candidate is highly creative, can analyze the digital presence of aspirational brands, and understands how to translate those insights into compelling content. High creativity and the ability to create meaningful audience engagement are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Ideation: Assist in visual storytelling and pitching fresh, engaging content ideas for social media platforms to sell the brand as an art. This will be done utilizing moodboards, sketches, archives, and current garments for inspiration.
- Content Scheduling: Manage and organize a consistent posting schedule across all relevant channels.
- Audience Engagement: Discover and maintain relationships with a niche audience through thoughtful interaction and community management.
- Media Monitoring: Interact with media coverage, mentions, and public sentiment to assess the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
- Garment Research: Collaborate with the team to research garments and collect details for content creation and styling inspiration.
- Asset Coordination: Reach out to photographers and videographers to obtain tour-related photos and videos for marketing use.
- Inventory Management Support: Assist in organizing inventory and renaming garments to align with internal style numbers and systems.
- Media List Maintenance: Identify unique artists and talent, showcasing creative individuals
- Competitive Research: Research peer designers and brands to spot industry trends and uncover opportunities for Frequency of Fabric to stand out.
- Data Analysis: Analyze engagement, media performance, and PR data to establish what can be improved upon in campaigns
- Administrative Support: Handle general office tasks such as answering emails, making calls, and organizing digital or physical files.
Qualifications:
- Education: Pursuing degree in Public Relations or a related field. Min. 3.0 GPA
- Experience: Previous experience in Public Relations in the fashion Industry or is a plus, though not required.

- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
- Basic understanding of media monitoring and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Hootsuite) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and research skills.
- Experience with or interest in fashion writing and storytelling.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, handle sample garments, and assist with organizing and sourcing physical materials. Ability to lift 20 pounds.
