Principal – MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility - Lord High School
General Information
Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Principal position. Successful candidate will work as a member of the Lord High School, part of the Secondary Partnerships Department and will follow a 260-day calendar. This position will be based at the MacLaren Youth Correctional facility in Woodburn, OR and will begin as soon as possible upon conclusion of the selection process.
Duties, Responsibilities & Qualifications
MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is a facility in Woodburn, Oregon and serves
approximately two hundred male youth. MacLaren is home to the Oregon Youth Authority’s
male intake units, parole violation units, general population units, and several units for youth
with specialized programming needs. All youth who have not yet completed a GED or high
school diploma are required to attend school. MacLaren has a school on site to help students earn high school and/or college credits.
Lord High School has a similar structure to other public schools, including: a principal, certified teachers, and other support staff. MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is home to incarcerated youth between the ages of twelve to twenty-five.
The Principal will provide leadership for all programmatic, curricular, and operational decisions and serve as an industry liaison for the related industry fields. Duties will include course design, operations, budget, program planning, IEP accommodation services, and implementation and evaluation for the CTE programs. The Principal must be skilled in methods for student engagement, behavior management, and communication in complex systems.

Salary and Benefits
- This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) administrative/non-represented position.
- Placement on the Willamette ESD administrative salary schedule, $109,489 - $133,210, will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training and experience, and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
