As a Lifestyle Services & Social Impact intern, your work is vital in assisting the staff that nurtures and supports our players and staff with off-court responsibilities, including community engagement, lifestyle services, and events for players and families. This internship will contribute toward creating the optimal conditions for talent to thrive.
You will be part of the Lifestyle Services and Social Impact team within Basketball Operations during the 2025-26 NBA season. This is an in-person internship, reporting to the Lifestyle Services Impact Coordinator.
In this role you will:
- Assist with Basketball Operations events and initiatives
- Manage department administrative tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Presently enrolled at an accredited university and approved by your school to receive internship credit
- Students pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Hospitality or related field preferred
- General knowledge of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma City metro area
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Additional details:
This is an in-person internship reporting to Lifestyle Services & Social Impact Coordinator. The work schedule may include working on short notice as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Total work hours will not exceed 29 hours per week. Primary work location is the Blue Ion located in Edmond, Oklahoma. Must have valid driver’s license and transportation as some local travel is required. Physical requirements will include lifting and bending.
