Intern, Graphic Design

The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking a college student pursuing a career in creative design. This internship provides an ideal training environment for a career in design or professional sports marketing! Working in the Thunder’s in-house Marketing and Graphic Design department, you will gain hands-on experience supporting company-wide marketing strategies through established core brand and visual themes, functioning as part of an internal agency.

 

Fall internships begin August 25, 2025. Our internship program provides practical experience in a professional environment, along with optional activities like resume reviews, development workshops, and occasional events designed to enhance the overall experience. We also offer perks such as paid downtown parking and tickets to a home game during the season!

In this role you will:

  • Design and production team-related assets in the print and digital spaces, including ads, sales collateral, animation, posters, digital graphics, invitations, etc.
  • Assist with maintaining and establishing design department policies
  • Stay connected with new design trends, techniques and technology
  • Participate in company-scheduled internship program activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What you bring to the role:

  • Presently enrolled at an accredited college or university and approved by your school to receive internship credit
  • Students pursuing a degree in graphic design or fine arts is preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) on the Macintosh platform
  • Possess an understanding of printing methods and the steps by which digital artwork becomes a printed page
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet targeted deadlines
  • Able to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication and listening skills for effective collaboration

Additional details:

This is a paid, in-person internship, reporting to the Manager, Brand Design. The work schedule requires 12-30 hours per week during office hours. The primary work location will be the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City.
