Compensation: $20–$30/hour (based on experience)

About the Role:

The Law Office of Barry E. Janay, P.C. is looking for a Videographer & Video Editor to help us bring our legal services to life through engaging video content. Based in our Livingston, NJ office, this role is perfect for a current student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience producing digital content in a professional setting.

You’ll help shoot and edit a variety of videos—from short web and social media promos to podcast sessions, attorney interviews, Zoom meetings, and B-roll of our workplace. This role requires an understanding of both visual and audio components of video production, as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio, learn about the legal field, and develop your creative and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Film and edit video content for social media, websites, podcasts, and client education
  • Set up and break down lighting, video, and audio equipment
  • Edit raw footage using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Add motion graphics, captions, music, and other enhancements
  • Collaborate with the legal and marketing team on concepts and scripts
  • Organize and manage digital media files and video archives
  • Ensure brand consistency and professionalism in all content

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficient with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
  • Familiar with camera setup, lighting, and audio recording basics
  • Demonstrates visual storytelling and editing skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative office environment
  • Able to show a portfolio, sizzle reel, or project links (required)
  • Interest in law/legal content is a plus but not required
