
Business Services Intern
Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Business Services Intern is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by performing various tasks to develop skills and gain professional experience.
LOCATION
This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with creating engaging social media content (images, graphics, videos, and captions).
- Brainstorm and implement creative content ideas to drive engagement.
- Assist with the management of the company’s social media accounts and website to align with business objectives, including SEO efforts and content updates.
- Assist with the design of advertising efforts for hiring events, community engagements, etc.
- Assist with the coordination of various public events.
- Track and report on the performance of posts, campaigns, and audience growth.
- Shadow employees within various departments and assist with tasks to gain valuable, professional, skills and experience.
- Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.

QUALIFICATIONS
At a minimum, the Business Services Intern must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and currently be a junior or senior enrolled in a bachelors program, preferably toward a business designation, such as business administration, management, marketing, or a related field of study, along with proven proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and design software including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or other graphic designer software, knowledge of business social media best practices and platforms, and website management.
