Marketing Specialist

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach target audience through appropriate channels
  • Monitor competitive landscape and communicate findings
  • Manage and develop marketing partnerships.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all channels.
  • Support Sales Department in the development and delivery of marketing materials and technical support.
  • Intermediary of new products, new product updates and development 
  • Maintenance, additions, loads, links, full management of the Website CMS. 
  • Manage data collection process to meet timelines.
  • Provide Monthly reporting of marketing efforts, initiatives, and campaign progress. 
  • Develop documentation and collateral to meet industry requirements: including but not limited to spec sheets, sell sheets, NPD launches, including web site addition and e-blasts and social media. 
  • Maintain and stay abreast of industry knowledge of technology and competitive products.
  • Design sample kits for new product(s) launches and others as appropriate.
  •  Execute event coordination, new agent on-boarding. 
  • Assist in tradeshows and events communication and development (ensuring booths reflect brand standards, updates as needed; send pre- and post- show communications, etc.)
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite & CRM, knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and terminology.
  • Team Player with positive and passionate personality
  • Ability to validate, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions of customer requirements.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, multi-tasker, detail oriented.
  • Able to travel overnight 10%.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or relevant field preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in the lighting industry with strong knowledge of lighting terminology, technology, and usage
