Job Title: Power BI Analyst – Entry Level
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Power BI Analyst to join our dynamic analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about turning data into insights that drive business value. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior analysts to develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with real business data and have the opportunity to contribute to data-driven decision-making across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Power BI Reporting & Visualization:
- Design and develop engaging dashboards and reports using Power BI based on business requirements.
- Transform raw data into clear, visually appealing, and actionable insights.
- Assist in creating and maintaining datasets and dataflows within Power BI service.
Data Preparation & Analysis:
- Clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accurate reporting.
- Perform basic data analysis and assist in identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Help define and monitor key metrics and performance indicators.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with business users and senior analysts to understand reporting needs.
- Provide support to end-users of Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to support data-driven strategies.
Learning & Development:
- Learn best practices for data visualization, dashboard design, and report performance optimization.
- Stay up to date with Power BI features, DAX functions, and industry trends.
- Continuously improve technical skills and gain familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools.
Documentation & Quality Assurance:
- Document report specifications, queries, and data sources for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in QA processes to verify data accuracy and troubleshoot reporting issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the business intelligence space.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred (not required):
- Experience with DAX functions in Power BI.
- Familiarity with Excel, Power Query, or other data tools.
- Internships or academic projects involving data analytics or visualization.
