Customer Service & Lead Generation Intern

Overview

DriverAI is seeking a driven and articulate Customer Service & Lead Generation Intern to support our startup’s growth and improve how customers interact with our platform. This is a remote, unpaid internship with the intention of onboarding into a full-time role designed for students or early professionals looking to gain experience in customer success, outreach strategy, CRM systems, and startup operations.

You’ll play a key role in identifying leads, building relationships, and creating seamless user experiences—while getting firsthand exposure to how an early-stage tech company scales.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential B2B clients through online research, cold outreach, and CRM tracking.

Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries via email or chat, triaging issues and escalating as needed.

CRM & Pipeline Management: Track leads and update progress in tools like HubSpot, ensuring clean data and accurate records.

Onboarding Assistance: Support new users during onboarding and help ensure they get value from our product quickly.

Feedback Collection: Gather customer insights and report common themes or problems to our product team.

Event Coordination: Assist with scheduling, event prep, and coordination for Phoenix-based meetups and conferences.

Basic Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed

Strong research ability and attention to detail

Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools quickly

Professional tone and mindset when dealing with customers

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with customer service, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), or startup operations

Interest in B2B SaaS, indoor navigation, or retail technology

Spanish proficiency is a plus

Previous outreach or marketing experience is a bonus

Educational Background & Eligibility

We prefer candidates who are currently enrolled in or have recently completed relevant studies:

GPA: 3.0 or above
Majors:

• Undergraduate (Junior or Senior)
• Graduate (Any Year)

Position Type: Unpaid Internship (10–20 Hours/Week)

Location: Remote, with optional in-person events in Phoenix, Arizona

Compensation: This is an unpaid position intended for educational and professional development

Travel: 90% remote, 10% optional in-person events in Phoenix or Tucson

Start Date: Flexible
