Junior Bookkeeper (Temp)

The Lede Company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Bookkeeper to join our accounting team for a temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bookkeeping, reporting, and accounting practices, with a minimum of 3 experience in a bookkeeping or similar role. This is a temporary, full-time position from mid - July 2025 to November 2025. Please note: the Jr. Bookkeeper will work on site Mon - Fri during our office hours, 9am - 5:30pm. 

Job Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and assisting in the pulling and preparation of reports. This position requires a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Manage and process incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.

Manage and reconcile employee expenses and communicate with employees as needed to ensure timely tagging of expenses.

Record journal entries, post transactions, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements with internal records.

Assist in the pulling and preparation of reports, as needed.

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, working closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure goals are met.

Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting best practices.

Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.

And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience in a bookkeeping or similar role

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Proficiency with accounting and expense management software and platforms (e.g., QuickBooks or similar, Bill.com) and advanced Excel skills.

Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial data.

Successfully demonstrated a track record of managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, moving with speed, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and management.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve financial issues independently and collaboratively.

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
