Equipment Trainer

Bobcat Enterprises has been in business for 50 years! We are a strong and stable company with an opening in the Tri-County area! We are a leader in sales, service, parts and rental of compact and industrial equipment and we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual with a passion for educating, to be our Equipment Trainer.

 

Duties:

  • Effectively present training programs in the safe operation of construction and industrial equipment as required by OSHA, manufacturers guidance and recognized industry standards
  • Conduct training programs thoroughly and consistently, utilizing formal and practical instruction.
  • Conduct a pre-operation inspection.
  • Assess students’ performance by administering written tests and evaluating hands-on operation.
  • Process documentation (i.e., copy, maintain files and forms, invoicing and preparing and issuing cards and Certifications of Completion).
  • Develop and compile training manuals and materials using OSHA, manufacturers’ guidance and recognized industry standards.
  • Assist with marketing efforts to include telemarketing, mailers, direct customer contact, etc.
  • Coordinate equipment, facilities and training materials in order to be prepared for the training session either at BEI or at the customer’s location.
  • Secure and monitor the company’s audio / visual equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturers’ safety requirements as they apply to equipment used in training.
  • Monitor and correct unsafe working conditions or practices. Prepare Accident Reports when required.

Skills:

Preferred: Associates degree or at least two years of experience teaching or training / Bilingual in Spanish

  • Excellent presentation / public speaking skills as well as ability to operate, demonstrate and conduct training on equipment sold and rented by BEI
  • Safety oriented with a strong sense of integrity and proven leadership skills
  • Excellent computer / PC skills required and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization, administrative and record keeping skills
  • Dependable, prompt with outstanding customer skills (i.e., student focused)
  • Strong sense of teamwork and cooperation
  • Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated

Other Requirments:

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to work at hazardous locations taking appropriate protective precautions.
  • Continuous standing for long periods of time, walking and fine manipulation when directing others.
  • Flexible hours or multiple shifts training at BEI or on-site at the customer’s location as needed.
  • Travel as required to customers’ location (approximately 10-20% of the time).
  • Present with energy, enthusiasm, professionalism and able to control the class.
  • Bend, reach, stoop and climb
  • Clean driving record.
