HR Coordinator

Budgeted Salary Range: $50,000-$58,000

Any disclosed pay range is based on a consideration of neutral factors and criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, seniority, etc. The Parking Spot reserves the right to offer the selected candidate or applicant a salary at an appropriate level to be set and determined by the employer that is commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, or seniority.

Our offices are based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are pleased to note that our Chicago office is operating on a hybrid work model (mix of in-office and remote work). 

Position Summary:           

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting a wide array of key HR team initiatives including learning and development, communications, and employee incentives and recognition programs. In addition, the HR Coordinator will lead the Chicago Corporate office events and support the Company’s Market of the Year, Grand Openings, and other milestone events. Our ideal candidate has a passion for HR and a knack for problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service to our employees. This role is an exciting opportunity for a junior-level HR professional to gain experience in a wide variety of HR focus areas at a rapidly expanding organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the corporate office, including managing kitchen and office supplies, coordinating with key vendors, and providing support to the administration team to ensure a well-functioning and efficient workplace environment
  • Manage the Company newsletter and all HR-related communication utilizing Canva, UKG, SharePoint, and ScreenCloud systems
  • Assist with the Company employee incentive and recognition program utilizing the Awardco system, including managing the recognition email inbox and facilitating employee of the month, learner of the month and employee in the spotlight awards
  • Assist with the Company’s Annual Leadership Summit, Market of the Year, Grand Openings, Annual Culture Week and other milestone celebrations and events
  • Lead Corporate events including our annual summer outing, kids picnic, and holiday events
  • Assist with the administration of the Company’s learning and development programs utilizing the LinkedIn Learning and TPSU (The Parking Spot University) platforms
  • Support benefits administration activities, including monthly mailings and open enrollment communication
  • Assist the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team with operational tasks
  • Support the HR team initiatives in marketing, branded item ordering, and shipping

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years HR experience
  • 2-3 years event planning experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 2-3 times per month
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter
