Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

2025 Summer Intern for Financial Planning and Analysis and Accounting & Tax
Location: Troy, MI
Duration: 2 to 3 Months starting from mid-Jun 2025
About the Role
The FP&A and Accounting & Tax Intern will support a variety of analytical tasks to help business leaders to prepare financial performance and support leaderships’ requirements. This role offers hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including maintaining financial models
- Support the preparation of management reports and presentations on business performance
- Collaborate with Accounting and other functions for process improvement
- Participate in monthly close activities
- Participate in ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Basic knowledge of accounting and an understanding of manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
