Operations Director 

 

 

Primary Focus

 

The Operations Director manages the day to day operations of the church and leads in effective processes for achieving strategic goals related to the One Church – One Mission vision. 

The Operations Director will be (or become) a member of the church and be committed to developing healthy relationships with leaders and members in fellowship and service.

Representative Responsibilities

 

  1. Human resources functions. Human resources management will be in relation to all staff positions.

 

  1. Staff supervision. Support staff roles will be under the Operations Director’s oversight.

 

  1. Financial services oversight. The Operations Director will maintain a thorough understanding of all financial processes; ensure that procedures are sound, and that reporting is reliable and helpful for the leaders and members of the church; supervise  financial services personnel; serve as the church’s purchasing agent in keeping with policies and procedures; support stewardship communication and encouragement to the congregation.

 

  1. Facilities and grounds oversight in collaboration with the House and Grounds Committee.  This includes many aspects, including that facilities and grounds are well maintained and attractive; that resources are allocated in keeping with vision, mission, and priorities; that facilities spaces are assigned strategically in alignment with our mission and priorities.

 

  1. Security management  in collaboration with the Security Team. This will involve relating to security officers and evaluation of and provision for security needs.

 

  1. Church Office management. The Operations Director will oversee office space, equipment, admin staff coverage, office culture, print publications, etc.

 

  1. Other responsibilities as needed.
