Location: Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and Douala, Cameroon
Start Date: Rolling (Next Cohort: September 2025)
Duration: 1-2 Years
Job Type: Fellowship, Full-Time (Virtual Options Available)
Compensation: Competitive local stipend + housing assistance + flight reimbursement (2-year commitment)

Through the Teach for Africa (TFA) Fellowship, we invite passionate change-makers from across the diaspora to join us in transforming education across Africa.
🔹 What You’ll Do
As a TFA Fellow, you’ll contribute to a dynamic, mission-driven team while gaining unmatched international experience. Key responsibilities include:

Teach & Mentor students using culturally grounded curricula

Plan & Deliver creative, engaging lessons (primary or secondary)

Assess Student Progress and maintain academic records

Collaborate with faculty on school initiatives and extracurriculars

Participate in Cultural Immersion activities, seminars, and excursions

Contribute to School Administration, including parent communication and record-keeping

Engage in Monthly Professional Development and teacher training

Support Community Outreach and school development efforts
🔹 Who We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from all academic backgrounds. We are especially excited to hear from those passionate about education, Africa, and global development.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (all majors accepted; STEM, English, African Studies preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deep interest in African history, culture, and education reform
- Willingness to relocate and adapt to a new cultural and professional environment
- Intention to pursue graduate studies, leadership roles, or entrepreneurship post-fellowship
- Must begin International Teacher’s Training Institute certification upon contract signing
