Digital Marketing Intern

📍 Location: Remote (US-based) or Hybrid (Washington, DC)

💰 Compensation: Run your own mini-business — You'll be given a fixed budget per customer sign up and keep the difference. The more efficiently you acquire customers, the more you earn. Think of it like running your own lean marketing agency.

TSP Pilot is a subscription-based platform helping federal employees make smarter decisions about their Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). Our tools, strategies, and educational content simplify investing and empower thousands of government workers to take control of their financial futures.

We’re ready to turn up the volume on growth — and we’re looking for entrepreneurial interns who are excited to take ownership of real marketing campaigns and directly impact customer acquisition.

The Role
This is not your average internship. You’ll be handed real responsibility — running our email and digital ad campaigns, and helping drive membership signups with a dedicated marketing budget. You’ll have flexibility to test new ideas and own your results from day one.

This is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in growth marketing, and is motivated by the "eat what you kill" nature of performance-driven work. You’ll work directly with the founder and learn the mechanics behind growing a profitable SaaS business.

What You’ll Do

  • Email Marketing
  • Create and manage a weekly/monthly email calendar
  • Write compelling email copy and subject lines that drive clicks and signups
  • Segment and personalize campaigns for specific subscriber groups
  • Digital Advertising
  • Design and manage campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, andReddit
  • Write performance-focused ad copy and choose creative formats (static, video, etc.)
  • Run A/B tests and optimize based on real-time performance
  • Growth Strategy
  • Propose and experiment with new customer acquisition channels
  • Track key KPIs (CTR, CAC, conversions) and report on campaign performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve landing pages and funnel performance
