Job Summary:
The Sales and Business Development Intern is a special opportunity to work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Business Operations Officer on deploying cutting edge customer acquisition strategies and technology based tools - learn from and support our team of industry disruptors, as we build out and support our strategic regional sales and customer acquisition team and partners, and take the first step to become part of a growing entrepreneurial company team of highly experienced business unit leaders, and change makers, etc - your strong desire to learn all about CRM systems, interest in state-of -the - art customer acquisition strategies, market analysis, data science and data analytics, and AI tools applications is a plus - we welcome any coding expertise and a curiosity for building your own AI apps and software tools for problem solving and task efficiency and streamlining.
Responsibilities:
- Support channel development and management by identifying potential dealers, maintaining relationships with existing partners, and assisting in the execution of dealer outreach strategies to expand market presence.
- Focus on increasing OnWood specifications by researching and leveraging the SpecLink database.
- Prioritize outreach geographically based on the location of existing and upcoming Weyerhaeuser distribution centers.
- Follow an established and proven sales specification process for outreach and relationship building.
- Engage with architectural firms and design professionals to promote OnWood through direct outreach and collaboration.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with industry associates.
- Assist in the creation and design of branded digital marketing assets and infographics.
- Help visually communicate areas of application for OnWood through targeted content development.
- Contribute creative design input to enhance marketing materials, presentations, and client-facing documents.
- Support the business development team in aligning design and sales goals with brand positioning.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to support T2EARTH’s summer growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in business development, sales, sustainability, or the building materials industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and research abilities.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
Education:
Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment (up to 15 lbs).
- Ability to travel locally for team meetings or industry events (if applicable).
- Comfortable working in both office and light industrial environments, as needed.
